Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. was born in Scranton, PA, the oldest of four children. When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Delaware, which he continues to call home to this day. After attending the University of Delaware and Syracuse University School of Law, Joe practiced law in Wilmington while working part-time as a public defender. In 1970, Joe won his first election to public office, to the city council of New Castle, DE. Just two years later, at age 29, Joe became one of the youngest people ever elected to the U.S. Senate. In his 36 years as a senator, Joe served as Chairman or Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Foreign Relations Committee, listing among his proudest accomplishments the Violence Against Women Act (which he wrote and spearheaded), taking on the N.R.A., his leadership on nuclear arms control, and calling for action on climate change before it was a mainstream issue. As the 47th Vice President of the United States, with President Barack Obama, Joe was instrumental in passing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – the biggest economic recovery project in the nation’s history – and the Affordable Care Act, which helped reduce the number of Americans without health insurance by 20 million. After their eight years in the White House, Joe and his wife, Jill, continue their efforts to expand opportunity for every American with the creation of the Biden Foundation, the Biden Cancer Initiative, the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, and the Biden Institute at the University of Delaware. Now, in a new chapter, Joe is asking for the honor of representing his country once again, as President of the United States.

Kamala Harris is the first Black and Indian-American woman to be nominated for national office by a major political party. The daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants, Kamala grew up believing in the promise of America and fighting to make sure that promise is fulfilled for all Americans. Kamala graduated from Howard University and earned a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Kamala started fighting for working families in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, where she focused on prosecuting child sexual-assault cases. From there, she became the first Black woman elected as San Francisco’s District Attorney. In 2010, Kamala became the first Black woman to be elected California Attorney General. As Attorney General, Kamala fought for families and won a $20 billion settlement for California homeowners against big banks that were unfairly foreclosing on homes. Kamala worked to protect Obamacare, helped win marriage equality for all, and defended California’s landmark climate change law. In 2016, she became the first Black and Indian-American woman elected to represent California in the U.S. Senate. She serves on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she has held Trump administration officials accountable and was a powerful voice against Trump’s conservative judicial nominations. Now, together with Joe Biden, Kamala is ready to prosecute the case against the Trump administration, and asks for your vote for Vice President of the United States.
